The New  Razer Licensed  Keyboard   is  of   completely new futuristic  design, with angular features like those of the Millennium Falcon , it is made  of  plastic and  grey, with gold backlit illumination on the keys and is simply of from this  world .
The keyboard has a slim keycap design  with  based aluminium keyboards, the keys provided a good tactile feel and do not make much noise on contact  but is tight  packed in a way like you need to squeeze in to typo  and need some time to get  used to , as general use seems to
inadvertently to  hit other wrong  keys , but luckily  it is offset  with a  anti-ghosting capability of up 10 key presses  which   means you can press 10 keys simultaneously and all will be registered.

Considered as  quite pricy  the main body frame  is  made of aluminium or titanium the area between the keys and the lower illuminated line feels particularly flimsy but   is  still comfortable to use ,Mounted on the  right of the keyboard  , there is  number pad  which provide  the much anticipated SwitchBlade user interface , consisting of 10 dynamic adaptive tactile (DAT) keys and a multi touch LCD panel. You can assign commands or record keystroke macros using the 10 DAT keys Each has a display so you can change the icons to corresponds with the functions your assign. The icons on the keys look blurred when viewed from directly about, but sharp when viewed from an a angle, which is the usual position when you are typing or gaming. The system is  software driven  and allows  user to assign functions to the DAT keys with the Razer Synapse 2.0 software  which is available only for windows and requires users to get an account
Star Wars: The Old Republic at Origin Store
User  can use Synapse only when they  logged in with an account, it lets them  store  all  macros and configurations on the Synapse cloud or server and access them from another PC when user  log in.

Flashed on the  box, Synapse has all the icons for the different skills and abilities of the various classes in the Old Republic game, but user is required  to  assign skills manually and change the icons accordingly  .With Synapse, it allows  user  to   reprogram each key  apart from the DAT ones, and tweak the sensitivity of the LCD panel and the acceleration of your finger swipes.

The  multi-touch panel is quite big at 4.05 inches and has a resolution of 800 by 480x pixels.
and is operative  in two modes, either as a tracked or an information display.
By default, the 10 DAT keys will operate as applications buttons for the panel, providing short Guts to your  Internet browser, Facebook, YouTube , Gmail and a touchscreen number pad.

At  anytime , users  can  click  to  YouTube DAT key and search for a walk through video and watch it on the LCD panel, Video Playback is surprisingly smooth and  provide  a useful tutorial  while   user can learn and play at  the same time This is undoubtedly an innovative gaming keyboard  where  the SwitchBlade user interface is definitely cool, its so much  easier to access the information via  even  your SmartPhone or tablet  and most   other keys on the keyboard  can be used to store the macros.
